Welcome to the Eastern Suburbs Racquetball Association web page. You will find all things Racquetball such as; up to the minute news, History, the game as we enjoy it, rules, tournaments......and heaps more. The weekly results will be posted as soon as they become available. Most importantly this web site has been developed to introduce new players to the game and bridge the gap between the committee and the players. We want you to know what we know. Here we go again. Another new season. I hope you all attended the pre-season meeting and have your fixture and know your team and grade. The season starts next Monday 06 February. Good luck to everyone and remember to enjoy yourself and don't do any damage to your body or health. We want you all back again next season. Things to look out for..... Pre-season meeting on Thursday 02 Feb at Knox at 7:30, but come early. - The meeting will take about 30 minutes, but we will have giveaways, snacks, a guest speaker Trivia Night - St Patricks day evening Saturday 17th March. - Tickets limited to 100, so speak to a committee member for tickets - this looks like being our best trivia night ever. First round of the Pennant season - this is the week commencing Monday 06 February. - we now are back to 5 grades of 6 teams. South Australian Open - get your entry in for this tournament soon. See the tournament page. - entries close 02 March Updates to the ESRA Constitution - To make it easier and friendlier to play racquetball we a updating the constitution. - We will be seeking submissions from the membership for suggestions - Hopefully we will be publishing the amendments so we can vote on the changes at the AGM later in the year. |

We hope you all had a safe and happy festive season, and you
are ready to get back into the swing. The new fixture and team list is ready to print, so check it out on the Fixtures and Forms page. It would be really helpful if you could let Brian Elton (M&P coordinator) know who the team contact and captain are. The new season will be starting on the week commencing 06 February 2011 and you will need to make sure you two team members at the pre-season meeting on Thursday 02 February. The meeting as usual will be at Knox at 7:30pm. All teams will get 50 points added to their total for round 1 for the first two players who attend the meeting. If you haven't had an email from esraresults yet, it means we don't have your correct email address. So if you want to be kept up to date, send esraresults@yahoo.com.au a message and we will add you to the list. Many thanks to those who have already sent in updated and new email addresses. your shortcuts or bookmarks to the e-esra.yi.org address,

Our thoughts go out to Daniel Tanner at the Knox Park venue. Last Wednesday the place was awash after the big storm. And then Thursday they had an electrical fire. I believe that repair work should commence next week and power should be restored. Hopefully the venue will be back in full swing again shortly. |

Round 2 complete and round 3 under way. We now have a new ESRA Secretary - Nicci Rossouw. I'm sure we are all wishing her well and giving thanks for her enthusiasm and dedication. I'm sure she will do well in advancing the causes of ESRA and Racquetball in general. If you don't know Nicci, you can meet her at the Mountain Districts Racquetball Champs this weekend. |
